StarProperty recognizes top talent in Malaysian real estate

KUALA LUMPUR: Kingsman Realty Sdn Bhd (Kingsman) was the biggest winner at the 2021 Realtors Edition StarProperty Awards gala dinner on Wednesday night (December 8), taking home more than a quarter of total trophies.

After Kingsman, IQI Realty Sdn Bhd (IQI) won 12 trophies. Foreward Realty Sdn Bhd (Foreward) also performed well, placing third with nine trophies.

This year’s awards included a total of 11 categories with 22 subcategories, with each entry judged on performance, development and outstanding achievement.

Held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, the fourth awards installation celebrated and recognized top real estate agencies and negotiators.

In recognition of these efforts, StarProperty honors the top talent in the Malaysian real estate industry.

Global Link Properties Sdn Bhd (Global), Maxxan Realty Sdn Bhd (Maxxan), Tech Realtors Properties Sdn Bhd (Tech), Kith and Kin Realty Sdn Bhd, Believe Realty Sdn Bhd and Polygon Properties Sdn Bhd also won awards.

The coveted All-Stars Awards for agencies went to Global, IQI, Maxxan and Tech, respectively, while 10 negotiators took home the All-Stars in their individual capacity.

The 10 include Andrian Lim of Foreward, Azhar Jaafar and Steve Yap; Austin Lim of Kingsman, Benjamin Kuan, Casswen Lim and Davin Low, as well as John Teh, Kenny Chia and Swiss Tan of IQI.

Tan from IQI was the toast of the evening, winning three trophies for herself and the Most Outstanding Leader for the Women category.

Meanwhile, Foreward’s Yap won two trophies and won the title of the most outstanding leader in the men’s category.

For the Business Continuity Award, seven companies won the award, namely Believe Realty, Foreward Realty, Global Link Properties, IQI, Kingsman, Maxxan and Tech.

Earlier in his speech, Star Media Group Berhad (SMG) CEO Alex Yeow said the award also honors the individuals and agencies, who have strived, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic , to fulfill their unique role in society.

“Home ownership is an important step marking an important chapter in life.

“Beyond being a point of reference for those looking to buy real estate, agents and negotiators bring even more added value from analysis and research to investigation and appraisal, all for the benefit of customers.

“I’m not sure if everyone here knows, but I myself was from the real estate industry before joining Star Media Group.

“So I understand the real estate agency’s business dynamics firsthand and I’m no stranger to the different and innovative ways you run your business.

“We have an exciting initiative in the works, a new real estate classifieds platform, and we hope you will all be a part of it.

“With your abilities and your expertise, I sincerely believe that we can collectively defend this initiative together,” he added.

Also in attendance were Esther Ng, Head of Content at Star Media Group, and Lydia Wang, Head of Group Revenue.

To ensure fair play, the panel of credible and impartial judges was made up of captains from the Malaysian real estate industry and leaders from various disciplines to ensure that all entries received full and fair assessments.

These include the chairman of the building management board of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia, Datuk Paul Khong, the chairman of Rehda Youth Shanaz A. Muztaza, the general manager of the real estate division of Mah Sing Group Bhd Yeoh Chee Beng, Bank Rakyat Mortgage Financing Manager Haslina Ali and StarProperty Content Manager Joseph Wong. .
