PETALING JAYA:
On Sunday December 26, a group of Catholic students from Universiti Malaya joined the NGO Sehati Aid https://www.sehatiaid.com to organize and distribute food and medical supplies to affected areas of the island Carey after recent flooding.

Carey Island is located south of Port Klang and north of Banting. This island has been badly affected by floods and has been neglected. Various NGO volunteers were busy cleaning, cleaning, providing food and helping local residents restore their homes.

“We have learned throughout this disaster that we are really in the same boat. We have to do something”, commented a student. “It’s a shame to see so many of them sleeping on the muddy ground,” laments another student.

A lesson to be learned from the tremendous outpouring of love in action for our neighbors is that “there is so much more that unites us than divides us.
